The Bible is a sufficient source of truth and direction for salvation and for all significant aspects of life. A person should not search the Scriptures in hopes of learning the best way to poach an egg or repair an automobile. But when it comes to issues of sin, salvation, the church, the worship of God, evangelism, marriage, the education and discipline of children, relating to an immoral society, or any other aspect of Christian living, the Bible stands alone as sufficient. God’s Word does not need to be supplemented by human wisdom, ingenuity, philosophy, or psychology.

    Mormonism: Joseph Smith practiced the use of diving rods
    Claims to have been contacted by a spirit
    Mormon doctrine states teaches that man can become God. Death is not to be feared.
    An earthly heaven is the final destination.
    Jehovah Witness: Hell does not exist. You either go to heaven or are annihilated.
    An earthly heaven is the final destination for all but the 144,000.
    Christian God is all; and all is God. Seeking a higher Science: state of consciousness is all that is needed. Death is an illusion. Doctrine received by special enlightenment.
    Scientology: Seeking a higher state of consciousness is all that is needed. There are fine lines between good and evil. Hell does not exist. Death is an illusion.
    Islam Death is an illusion. The whim of Allah will break the cycle of reincarnation. An earthly ‘heaven’ is your reward. Doctrine received by special enlightenment.
