What the Bible says about the… Doctrine of ‘Priesthood’

    1. Heb 7:1 – 10 The priesthood of Melchizedek is greater than the priesthood of Aaron (Levitical)
    2. Heb 7:11 Insufficient Aaronic priesthood creates need for a new priesthood
    3. Heb 7:12 Aaronic priesthood could not evolve, therefore the priesthood has been changed
    4. Heb 7: 15 – 16 Christ is made priest similar to Melchizedek, meaning He was appointed by God, not attained by decendency
    5. Heb 7:23 – 24 Christ’s priesthood is unchangeable (literally untransferable). Other priests passed on their priesthood when they died – Christ, however, is eternal.
