We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Pride is one chief cause of undue anger. It is because men are proud, and exalt themselves in their own hearts, that they are revengeful, and are apt to be excited, and to make great things out of little ones that may be against themselves. Yea, they even treat as vices things that are in themselves virtues, when they think their honor is touched, or when their will is crossed. And it is pride that makes men so unreasonable and rash in their anger, and raises it to such a high degree, and continues it so long, and often keeps it up in the form of habitual malice… If men sought not chiefly their own private and selfish interests, but the glory of God and the common good, then their spirit would be a great deal more stirred up in God's cause than in their own; and they would not be prone to hasty, rash, inconsiderate, immoderate, and long-continued wrath, with any who might have injured or provoked them; but they would in a great measure forget themselves for God's sake, and from their zeal for the honor of Christ. The end they would aim at, would be, not making themselves great, or getting their own will, but the glory of God and the good of their fellow-beings.
Jonathan Edwards

It would appear that God does not know the best way of saving men, and men are so wise that they amend His methods! Is not this a refinement of blasphemy? It is a hideous farce to see a rebellious sinner suddenly become jealous about good works and greatly concerned for public morality. Does it not make laughter in hell to see licentious men censuring the pure gospel of the Lord Jesus and finding fault with free forgiveness because it might make men less mindful of purity? It makes one sick to see the hypocrisy of legalists.
C.H. Spurgeon

IS 8:1 I reèe mi Gospod: Uzmi knjigu veliku i napiši u njoj pismom èoveèjim: Brz na plen, hitar na grabež.
IS 8:2 I uzeh verne svedoke, Uriju sveštenika i Zahariju sina Jeverehijinog.
IS 8:3 Potom pristupih k proroèici, i ona zatrudne i rodi sina. A Gospod mi reèe: Nadeni mu ime: Brz na plen, hitar na grabež.
IS 8:4 Jer pre nego dete nauèi vikati: Oèe moj i majko moja, odneæe se blago damaštansko i plen samarijski pred carem asirskim.
IS 8:5 I još mi reèe Gospod govoreæi:
IS 8:11 Jer mi ovako reèe Gospod uhvativši me za ruku i opomenuvši me da ne idem putem ovog naroda, govoreæi:
IS 8:12 Ne govorite "Buna" kad god ovaj narod kaže "Buna", i ne bojte se èega se on boji, i ne plašite se.
IS 8:13 Gospoda nad vojskama svetite; i On neka vam je strah i bojazan.
IS 8:14 I biæe vam svetinja, a kamen za spoticanje i stena za sablazan obema domovima Izrailjevim, zamka i mreža stanovnicima jerusalimskim.
IS 8:15 I spotaknuæe se mnogi i pašæe i satræe se, zaplešæe se i uhvatiæe se.
IS 8:16 Sveži svedoèanstvo, zapeèati zakon mojim uèenicima.
IS 8:20 Zakon i svedoèanstvo tražite.
IS 8:22 A kad pogleda na zemlju, a to nevolja i mrak i teška muka, i on zagnan u tamu.
