We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Convictions are the product of both head and heart. There is an emotional component to belief, as well as an intellectual component. The Christian tradition speaks powerfully of the commitment of belief as a matter of the heart. Christian convictions take possession of our heads and hearts through Christian teaching and the preaching of God’s Word. As a matter of fact, most of us gain our most fundamental convictions in just this way - we hear them, see them to be truly revealed in the Bible, and then believe them.
Albert Mohler

So, why do we serve in the church? One, because we are a spiritual body and each “body” part needs to perform his or her function. Two, we are commanded to serve by the Lord. Three, there will be accountability. Consequences toward those who refuse to use their gifts and rewards toward those who faithful discharge them as a good steward. Four, it is an honor and joy to be used by the Lord to build His eternal kingdom. And five, we want to see our investment in a person or persons to witness their spiritual fruit (Rom 1:13).

149:1 Halleluja!

149:6 Lofverheffinge van God is in hulle keel, en ‘n tweesnydende swaard in hulle hand;

149:7 om wraak te oefen onder die heidene, strafgerigte onder die volke;

149:8 om hulle konings met kettings te bind en hulle edeles met ysterboeie;

Halleluja!
